That boy Ronaldo !!

It's getting harder and harder to find superlatives to describe Cristiano Ronaldo. When he burst onto the scene at Old Trafford, he was exciting and talented, then he turned into skilful and dangerous. Now, if you ask me, he is simply the best.

With an outstanding strike rate of 27 goals in just 28 games, Ronaldo looks unstoppable. We all knew the Madeira-born winger was blessed with raw talent and skill. It doesn't take a world class scout to spot the kind of natural ability the Manchester United star showed from an early age. I had a chance to watch Ronaldo for the first time as a young 16-year-old prodigy in Lisbon, when he made a few cameo appearances for Sporting Club. At the time, he was skinny and fragile, but he had the quickest feet I had ever seen. Step-overs, fakes, shimmies, he had them all. He wasn't the most effective player on the pitch, but he certainly brought the crowd to life. A few years later, he has turned into the most dominant player in world football. He is stronger, faster, and more powerful than ever before. This year his goal-scoring exploits are astounding. 27 goals in 28 games? Are you kidding me? That's the best strike rate in the world at the moment, better than Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic or any of the other top strikers in Europe. And he's a winger!

So how good can he get? I don't possibly know how he could get any better. The key will be keeping a level head so he can stay at the top for as long as possible. Life in the fast lane has led to the the premature decline of other bright stars such as George Best, Diego Maradona, Paul Gascoigne, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. So an excess in partying can be avoided at all costs. So far, the Portuguese winger has kept a low profile. Every time I have met him, he has seemed to have his priorities straight and his ego under control. If he stays that way, all will be fine. And we will still be singing his praises in 10 years time.

do I really care !!!!!

The year started with my birthday...I then realized that I am no longer an youngster...I never thought that how old I am until I calculated...frankly I never realized that moment...now I am running on with my age...then came the thought of what am I doing really...going to the office. Earning money. Getting along with friends to have get-together every weekend...hhhmmm that’s it..Man what the hell do I care about my future...never give a damn about thinking or taking care of myself. Probably in next 2 to 3 years there will be talks of marriage...man I am horrified..
but the next day when I go to office, I forgot everything and get into the mode of day to day life. well there will be a time when I have to sit down and think about my life carefully..but do I care about it now? that’s the million dollar question which is un-answerable to me. I guess only I can figure out the correct answer for that.

obsessed with football

Football ...this word has become an important part of my day to day life, don't know why? There was a time when I like many other young people had bat and ball in my hands. Those were the early school days when we will be looking out to play cricket all the time. But Then times were changing...A new era began when I first saw 90 minutes of non-stop football. That was the match between Manchester United and Wimbledon. In that match a guy named David Beckham scored a scorcher...a 60 yard shot from the half line...That moment changed my perception towards football. That was the time and since then I was compelled towards football. No doubt Manchester United is the team I follow till now and forever. This game gives you that extra passion and thrill which no other sports can give. Well that's my perception, might contradict with other people's view. Off course it’s the most followed sport in the universe. Now I follow football to its core, it gives me satisfaction. Manchester United gives me the motivation to achieve big in life and a never say die attitude. Well I would no doubt follow this forever and like to pass this infectious disease to other people around.
